Life After Surgery

Schedule:

• First adjustment is usually performed 8-12 weeks post-op. We usually install 2 ml. of Isovue fluid through the port site.
• The subsequent adjustments are usually performed 2 – 3 months afterward with 1 ml.
• When your band has 5 ml., and if you need further adjustment, we usually install anywhere from 0.2 ml. to 0.5 ml. as needed.

The majority of the adjustments are done within the first two years. After that, we generally see patients every 6 – 12 months as part of your follow up care.

We’re partnering with you after surgery to make sure you can be as successful as possible with your new tool. Life just begins after your surgery. You’ll be part of our alumni family until you can fly on your own.
