Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band Fills
Schedule:
- First adjustment is usually performed 8-12 weeks post-op. We usually install 2 ml. of Isovue fluid through the port site.
- The subsequent adjustments are usually performed 2 – 3 months afterward with 1 ml.
- When your band has 5 ml., and if you need further adjustment, we usually install anywhere from 0.2 ml. to 0.5 ml. as needed.
The majority of the adjustments are done within the first two years. After that, we generally see patients every 6 – 12 months as part of your follow up care.
